Invictus Jiu-Jitsu LLC ist der neue Name der One Dojo GmbH und somit das Unternehmen, das sich um sämtliche organisatorische und finanzielle Angelegenheiten unserer Academy und des Gracie Concepts® Network kümmert.
Im März 2021 steckten wir mitten in einer weltweiten Pandemie, an der laut verschiedenen Angaben damals rund 18,3 Millionen Menschen starben. Wie unsere Familie und die halbe Welt war auch ich gezwungen, zu Hause zu bleiben und unsere Leidenschaft, die Kampfkünste, für eine ganze Weile beiseitezulegen.
Da ich damals noch an einem Buch arbeitete, nutzte ich die Gelegenheit, es endlich zu beenden. Dank der Hilfe von Sandra und Dave konnte ich das Buch Schritt für Schritt überarbeiten und schließlich fertigstellen. Hier der Link dazu: https://buchshop.bod.de/franco-vacirca.
In den letzten Jahren wurde ich immer wieder gefragt, wann denn ein zweites Buch erscheinen würde. Tatsächlich hatte ich bereits nach dem Erscheinen des ersten Buchs damit begonnen, das zweite zu schreiben. Im ersten Buch hatte ich schon einiges über das Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu und meinen Werdegang erzählt, aber eben auch nicht alles.
Seit Herbst letzten Jahres (2024) beschäftigte mich der Gedanke, statt eines zweiten Buches einen neuen Blog zu machen, in dem ich zu verschiedenen Themen, über die ich in meinem Buch geschrieben habe, mehr ins Detail gehen würde.
Ich versuche, mich so wenig wie möglich von den Geschichten, die in den sozialen Medien kursieren, aufregen zu lassen. Aber wir Europäer haben ständig diesen blöden Glauben, dass die Kolleg*innen in den USA immer mehr wissen als wir. In Wirklichkeit gibt es einige BJJ-ler, auch der älteren Generation, die in ihren Podcasts und Artikeln zahlreiche Fehlinformationen verbreiten. Ich will jedoch hier keine Namen nennen.
Es gibt zahlreiche Unwahrheiten, beispielsweise, dass es eine Gruppe namens Dirty Dozen gibt, bis hin, dass Professor Jigoro Kano das Judo erfunden hat, weil er angeblich mit seiner Methode Angriffe von mehreren Personen studiert haben soll. Kano soll auch das Gürtelsystem für das Judo entwickelt haben. Das BJJ soll aus dem Kano-Judo entstanden sein und so weiter. Die Liste ist unglaublich lang.
Fortlaufend und regelmässig will ich nun in meinem neuen Blog auf dieser Homepage verschiedene Informationen mit euch teilen. Mir ist es wichtig, dass ihr hier die geschichtliche Wahrheit erfahrt und keine Lügen, die für Marketing und Selbstdarstellung erfunden wurden. Selbstverständlich bin ich jederzeit offen für Kritik und neues Wissen. Ihr könnt mich auch jederzeit über den Kontakt-Link anschreiben.

Invictus Jiu-Jitsu LLC is the new name of One Dojo GmbH and is the company that handles all organizational and financial matters for our academy and the Gracie Concepts® Network.
In March 2021, we were in the midst of a global pandemic that, according to various sources, had claimed the lives of around 18.3 million people at that time. Like our family and half the world, I was forced to stay at home and put our passion for martial arts on hold for quite some time.

In recent years, I have been asked repeatedly when a second book would be published. In fact, I had already started writing the second book after the first one was published. In the first book, I had already shared quite a bit about Brazilian jiu-jitsu and my career, but not everything.
Since last fall (2024), I had been toying with the idea of creating a new blog instead of a second book, in which I would go into more detail on various topics I had written about in my book.
I try not to get too worked up about the stories circulating on social media. But we Europeans constantly have this stupid belief that our colleagues in the US always know more than we do. In reality, there are some BJJ practitioners, even among the older generation, who spread a lot of misinformation in their podcasts and articles. However, I don’t want to name names here.
There are numerous untruths, for example, that there is a group called the Dirty Dozen, or that Professor Jigoro Kano invented judo because he allegedly studied attacks by multiple people using his method. Kano is also said to have developed the belt system for judo. BJJ is said to have originated from Kano judo, and so on. The list is incredibly long.
I now want to share various information with you on an ongoing and regular basis in my new blog on this homepage. It is important to me that you learn the historical truth here and not lies that have been invented for marketing and self-promotion. Of course, I am always open to criticism and new knowledge.
